St. Patrick’s Day in Brazil

I contributed to an article by Mobilidade Sampa about St. Patrick’s Day in Brazil and the tributes paid to the patron saint of Ireland, as well as the potential for collaboration between the two nations from a commercial and technological standpoint.

The article covers the Irish Government’s initiative to light up monuments in green around both  countries on 17th March. For example, St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro with the illumination of monuments such as the statue of Christ the Redeemer, Maracanã Stadium, the Lapa arches and the Avenida Rio Branco obelisk.

Recife (PE), São Paulo (SP) and Florianópolis (SC) celebrated St Patrick’s Day by lighting up famous monuments. I was quoted on the potential for cooperation between the two countries from a tech perspective. I cited data from a report by IBNB, and an e-book on the topic which I had previously contributed to.
