I was a guest on the Sherlock Communications podcast, which examined the results of the agency’s “The State of SEO in Latin America” report.

On the podcast, members of Sherlock’s award-winning communications team share their insights into public relations and digital marketing across Latin America. The conversation between myself, public relations manager Amanda Boucault, and SEO project leader Stella Ferreira is available now on Spotify, in English.

The episode looks at the most striking findings about the report, in terms of e-commerce, mobile penetration, app downloads and consumer behavior. We explain the differences between SEO and ASO, which are optimizations for websites and applications respectively, and discuss the importance of user experience and content for websites.

During our chat, I was asked what the secret is to make the first page of Google. I answered that there is no secret, but that the way to go is through a series of optimizations,  well thought-out strategies, and keeping up with changes in the industry.
